“I think the Jesus whose story is told in the bible didn’t exist.”
I think the Atheists don’t have a list all person who lived in this world to check and verify therefrom that Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, Socrates , Jesus existed or did not exist.
Do they have such a list? Please

“I think the Jesus whose story is told in the bible didn’t exist.”
Paul carved out of thin air a fictional character and described that he died on the Cross; resurrected from the dead and ascended to the skies to sit on the right hand of God. Paul described such a man as god or son of god and named that character Jesus or Christ; surely such a person never existed; I agree with you.

For the real life accounts of Jesus son of Mary; one may like to read Quran, one may start with Chapter named Maryam/Merium/Mary”:

Jesus’ true teachings are also incorporated in Quran.
Thanks

“On assertion number three, there is none, repeat none, skeptic who Jesus appeared to. Neither did this apparition appear to Pilate, to the Pharisees, to the gentiles.”
This is a cooked story made by Paul and the likes to support the fictional character he made.
All above are general statements; not a single one has been mentioned with name; the list of names who saw and their antecedents have not been given by Bible.
I agree with you here

Paarsurrey, you seem to me, no pun intended, to have a serious comprehension problem. If the Jesus talked of in the bible is fictitious, the one in the Koran is more so!

Please don’t mind; I don’t agree with you.

Quran does not copy anything from Bible; it is a misconception.
Muhammad got the accounts of Jesus’ life and teachings from the One-True-God directly by Word of Revelation; that is the reason as to why Quran gives accounts of life of real Jesus and does not present the mythical Jesus carved out of thin air by Paul.

I know it is difficult for you to understand it.

Jesus presented by Bible is mythical and a construct of Paul

    • Please tell how do we know the real Jesus? And what criteria got you to arriving at your conclusion about the one in the bible?

      • Since the Christians say Jesus was a god or son of god; it is only for this that the Atheists deny his historicity; otherwise they won’t deny that a man called Jesus son of Mary did not exist. Otherwise they don’t have a list of all men and women to verify if one exist or not.

        Do you agree?

        • I think you don’t know what you are talking about or you don’t read. The question of whether he was a son of god is moot because there are no gods. We question if such a personage as told in the bible existed.
If Jesus or Mary was a common name at that time, there is no doubt one could find a Jesus son of Mary.

        • Quoting your words:

“If Jesus or Mary was a common name at that time, there is no doubt one could find a Jesus son of Mary.”

So you thing Jesus son of Mary could exist; and there is no record to deny that such a human did not exist; in other words Jesus son of Mary, a human being, existed cannot be denied from any records.

Did I understand you correctly? Please

        • Real Jesus did not die on the Cross; he was delivered from the cross in near-dead position; after treatment of his injuries that he got inflicted on the cross he migrated from Judea and went to India and spent his rest of the life there.

          • Real Jesus did not die on the Cross; he was delivered from the cross in near-dead position; after treatment of his injuries that he got inflicted on the cross he migrated from Judea and went to India and spent his rest of the life there.

          • Quoting your words:

“I could get a post or two from it =P”
Please elaborate the above. I don’t get you.

Please Google for “Jesus in India”; you will get so many. I just give you link of two documentaries:

            1. Jesus In India (BBC Documentary)http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Z-TOu_AITSI
            2. Jesus In Kashmir (India) – Documentary by Indian Govt.http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=e_Ecm4gMhiM

            Thanks for your patience.

            • Jesus son of Mary or Jesus of Nazareth are the same real persons. Quran mentions him.

              • Paul was an enemy of Jesus son of Mary; he tried to kill him but Jesus , after the even of crucifixion in which he miraculously survived; Jesus migrated to India. Disappointed with his attempt to kill Jesus , Paul invented a new religion in Jesus’ title name and called it “Christianity”, a misnomer. Jesus son of Mary of Nazareth is a real person.
                Sorry, for the interruption friends.

Friend jasgang says to paarsurrey “you are not willing to look any further than your nose”

May 17, 2009

Jasgang says:

God is not God by any name. The Quran is the only place that you will find your god, because you are not willing to look any further than your nose, or your god. There is a God so much greater than your god. Our God doesn’t hate anyone, even those who turn away from Him. The Bible says that nothing shall separate us from the love of God. You can choose your own god, but in choosing the wrong god, you will be damned, not rewarded with 72 virgins, but God will still love you. I don’t understand the spirituality of the 72 virgins thing, we have had our desires in this life, to multiply and replenish the earth, in heaven there will be no more sex or need for replenishing, the kingdom will be complete with those who were obedient to the end. Those who loved God with all their heart, mind, soul, and body. If your desire is to learn the truth I am willing to confer with you. However, I have no interest in the Quran or the Muslim faith.

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend jasgang

May be you are right to say to me “you are not willing to look any further than your nose”. How correct you are?

It is only for this that we are discussing things in this blog; to benefit from one another’s experience. I will be thankful if you help me to see beyond my nose.

Perhaps, I use spectacles to see far away from my nose. It is a bifocal lenses and I can see things quite normally. Maybe you happen to be an eye specialist; but I think you told me that you are a priest. Didn’t you?

Please don’t mind if I help you to see beyond the myths; right into the reality. I think it would be OK for me if you believe in the real Jesus; not the unreal one Paul saw in a made up fairy tale.

What is this 72 virgins thing, you referred to?

If you think it is mentioned in Quran; please quote the verse from Quran; its text and the usual context which consist on five preceding and five following verses.

Quran is the spectacles with which you could see beyond the horizons of time and space; please don’t feel shy to look beyond your nose; I won’t mind, my friend.

I love Jesus and Mary as I love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

Let America know the real Jesus; in stead of the mythical Jesus carved by Paul

March 10, 2009

Hi

The real Jesus is one of the perfect persons called the Messengers. He is also one of the innocent persons. CatholicsProtestants have eulogized Jesus to an extent that the common man has now realized that such an irrational and illogical Jesus just cannot really exist, historically or otherwise.

Ironically, Jesus never needed such exaggeration or eulogy. Paul and after him his Church has added layer after layer of eulogy on Jesus. The real Jesus is this buried under this extra earth put on him, layer after layer; if Jesus had not died as they say on the Cross earlier, he has surely died now a natural death under this eulogy or exaggerated praise.
Jesus never needed any spoon feeding from Paul and the Church. Jesus had his own charisma in his moral and spiritual acts and teachings based on the Law of Moses. It is perhaps to show this that he got baptized at the hands of John the Baptist.

Paul started the myth of Jesus, in the absence of Jesus, when he had gone to India from Galilee along with Mary his mother after when he survived a miraculous cursed death on the Cross. It was then that Paul carved a Mythical Jesus and later the Trinity- a Golden Calf, like one Samiri had in the times of Moses when he had gone to the mountain.

It is for this that as the latest survey shows, numbers of Catholics and Protestants has been on the decrease in America and people now say they have no religion. A news item:

More Americans say they have no religion
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2009/03/08/america/REL-Religious-America.php
International Herald Tribune: March 8, 2009

If Church wants to fulfill the moral and spiritual needs of the Americans; then they should revise such unreal tenets of Catholicism and Protestants to salvage the Americans. Let Jesus express himself freely and let the American know the Real Jesus.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks
