Paul’s-Christianity and Bahaullah’ religion are both mythical and made-up

#206 paarsurrey,

It is not a correct approach. It is neither literal nor allegorical. Why not admit openly that Paul’s-Christianity and Bahaullah’ religion are both, supporting one another, mythical because except a sentence* spoken on the Cross by Jesus nothing else is spoken or dictated by Jesus? Right, please?

Dawkins, Hitchens, and Harris, falsely being treated representative of New Atheism: Richard Carrier

April 23, 2014

I have written following comments on Richard Carrier’s “Freethought Blogs”.
Topic: “Minor Corrections to Crossley’s Jesus in an Age of Neoliberalism” by Richard Carrier

April 23, 2014 at 9:22 am (awaiting moderation)

“Similarly, Crossley rightly takes to task the reactionary Islamophobia of Dawkins, Hitchens, and Harris, but falsely treats that as representative of New Atheism, when in fact the bulk of the New Atheist movement has been consistently criticizing them for precisely these views.” Unquote

I read Hitchens book “God is not great”; and noticed that he had no in-depth study of Quran/Islam/Muhammad and generalized things from his experience with Christianity and had a biased view of Quran/Islam/Muhammad.

In the entire book Hitchens could not quote even a single verse from Quran in support of his views about Quran/Islam/Muhammad; though the title of the book suggests that his intention was to write the book against Islam.

I appreciate Atheists’ approach of being reason-oriented and hence drawing the attention of the Revealed Religions for reformation of the peripheral, mythical and superstitious creeds. They could go into the process of reformation while keeping the core teachings intact.

Thanks and regards

Jesus presented by Bible is mythical and a construct of Paul

July 22, 2013
    • Please tell how do we know the real Jesus? And what criteria got you to arriving at your conclusion about the one in the bible?

      • Since the Christians say Jesus was a god or son of god; it is only for this that the Atheists deny his historicity; otherwise they won’t deny that a man called Jesus son of Mary did not exist. Otherwise they don’t have a list of all men and women to verify if one exist or not.

        Do you agree?

        • I think you don’t know what you are talking about or you don’t read. The question of whether he was a son of god is moot because there are no gods. We question if such a personage as told in the bible existed.
If Jesus or Mary was a common name at that time, there is no doubt one could find a Jesus son of Mary.

        • Quoting your words:

“If Jesus or Mary was a common name at that time, there is no doubt one could find a Jesus son of Mary.”

So you thing Jesus son of Mary could exist; and there is no record to deny that such a human did not exist; in other words Jesus son of Mary, a human being, existed cannot be denied from any records.

Did I understand you correctly? Please

        • Real Jesus did not die on the Cross; he was delivered from the cross in near-dead position; after treatment of his injuries that he got inflicted on the cross he migrated from Judea and went to India and spent his rest of the life there.

          • Quoting your words:

“I could get a post or two from it =P”
Please elaborate the above. I don’t get you.

Please Google for “Jesus in India”; you will get so many. I just give you link of two documentaries:

            1. Jesus In India (BBC Documentary)
            2. Jesus In Kashmir (India) – Documentary by Indian Govt.

            Thanks for your patience.

            • Jesus son of Mary or Jesus of Nazareth are the same real persons. Quran mentions him.

              • Paul was an enemy of Jesus son of Mary; he tried to kill him but Jesus , after the even of crucifixion in which he miraculously survived; Jesus migrated to India. Disappointed with his attempt to kill Jesus , Paul invented a new religion in Jesus’ title name and called it “Christianity”, a misnomer. Jesus son of Mary of Nazareth is a real person.
                Sorry, for the interruption friends.

Belief in one God is the original position or the Norm

Please view Paarsurrey’s four posts in the thread “The true religion invites comparison” in the discussion forum < >

Belief in one God is the original position.

When they fall from the original position they resort to becoming mythical or superstitious and make many gods or they deny the one true God.

Belief in one God is the norm; it is the middle position or on the middle path.

Man has been created with a purpose of life; to that end God provided guidance through perfect men called messengers prophets; God conversed with them and told them about himself.

God could have different names in different people in their own languages with the same attributes; Allah, Yahweh, Brahma, Isana, Ahura Mazda etc. We find traces of such Converse in almost all regions of the world, even in the aborigines of Australia , America.
This is one true God.

Post  #107

Evolution of humans is with a purpose. When man reached a stage fit to receive express guidance from the one true God; man was bestowed Converse

with the one true God. “Adam” or whatever name of that human being in the language of the people; he was addressed by Him and told of that Being and His attributes.

Jesus dying as substitution of others’ sins is just mythical and superfluous

May 3, 2013

Hank Kimball says:

(In reply to my post:”Did Jesus himself claim that he was sent for the atonement of sins of others?”)

There is NO sin that cannot be forgiven. I did not know that at one time, but I believe the bible is the word of God. Isaiah 1;18:”Come, now, YOU people, and let us set matters straight between us,” says Jehovah. “Though the sins of YOU people should prove to be as scarlet, they will be made white just like snow; though they should be red like crimson cloth, they will become even like wool”.

Paarsurrey says:

I think Jesus words should be understood in the light of the Isaiah 1; 18:

Jesus words narrated in NT seem to be doctored by Paul and or the Church.

If sins can be washed off with repentance, asking forgiveness from one true God and resolve not to commit the sin anymore in the time of Isaiah and before him and after him to Jesus’ time; and that is a very reasonable and natural approach; there is no need of any human ransom.

Jesus did not die on the Cross in the first place; so the theory of Jesus dying for the sins of others or anybody else as substitution is just mythical and superfluous.
