Search for an Exalted Being 2

February 19, 2014

https://paarsurrey.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/search-for-an-exalted-being/

The Holy Quran has, in this context, set forth an excellent illustration, to the effect that the world is like a palace, the floor of which is paved with smooth slabs of glass, under which flows a rapid current of water.

Every eye that beholds this floor mistakenly imagines it to be running water. A person fears to tread upon the floor as he would be afraid of treading upon running water, though in reality the floor is only paved with smooth transparent slabs of glass. Thus these heavenly bodies like the sun and the moon etc. are the smooth and transparent slabs of glass under which a great power is in operation like a fast flowing current of water. It is a great mistake on the part of those who worship these heavenly bodies that they attribute to them that which is manifested by the power that operates behind them.

This is the interpretation of the verse of the Holy Quran:

It is a palace paved smooth with slabs of glass. (The Holy Quran, an-Naml 27:45)

In short, as the Being of God Almighty, despite its brilliance, is utterly hidden, this physical system that is spread out before our eyes is not alone sufficient for its recognition. That is why those who have depended upon this system and have observed carefully its perfect and complete orderliness together with all the wonders comprehended in it, and have thoroughly studied astronomy, physics, and philosophy, and have, as it were, penetrated into the heavens and the earth, have yet not been delivered from the darkness of doubts and suspicions. Many of them become involved in grave errors and wander far away in pursuit of their stupid fancies.

Their utmost conjecture is that this grand system which displays great wisdom must have a Maker, but this conjecture is incomplete and this insight is defective. The affirmation that this system must have a creator does not amount to a positive affirmation that He does in truth exist. Such a conjecture cannot bestow satisfaction upon the heart, nor remove all doubt from it. Nor is it a draught which can quench the thirst for complete understanding which man’s nature demands. Indeed, this defective understanding is most dangerous, for despite all its noise it amounts to nothing.

In short, unless God Almighty affirms His existence through His Word, as He has manifested it through His work, the observation of the work alone does not afford complete satisfaction*. For instance, if we are confronted by a room the door of which is bolted from inside, our immediate reaction would be that there is someone inside the room who has bolted the door from inside, inasmuch as it is apparently impossible to bolt a door from inside by some device employed for the purpose from the outside. But if, despite persistent calls from the outside over a period of years, no response becomes audible from inside, our supposition that there must be someone inside would have to be abandoned and we would be compelled to conclude that the door has been bolted from inside through some clever device. This is the situation in which those philosophers have placed themselves whose understanding is limited solely to the observation of the work of God.

It is a great mistake to imagine that God is like a corpse interred in the earth whose recovery is the business of man. If God has only been discovered through human effort, it is vain to expect anything from Him. Indeed, God has, through eternity, called mankind to Himself by affirming: I am present. It would be a great impertinence to imagine that man has laid God under an obligation by discovering Him through his own effort, and that if there had been no philosophers He would have continued unknown.

It is equally stupid to enquire how can God speak unless He has a tongue to speak with? The answer is:

Has He not created the earth and the heavenly bodies without physical hands? Does He not view the universe without eyes? Does He not hear our supplications without physical ears? Then is it not necessary that He should also speak to us? Nor is it correct to say that God spoke in the past but does not speak now. We cannot limit His Word or His discourse to any particular time. He is as ready today to enrich His seekers from the fountain of revelation as He was at any time, and the gates of His grace are as wide open today as they were at any time.

It is true, however, that as the need for a perfect law has been fulfilled all law and limitations have been completed. Also all prophethoods, having arrived at their climax in the person of our lord and master, the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, have been fulfilled.

Jesus had not an iota of divinity in him

February 26, 2010

It is stated above:

“Christians believe that Jesus Christ was the divine clothed in human flesh.”

I don’t agree with the so called “Christians” who believe in the above superstitious creed of Jesus being God.

Jesus had not an iota of divinity in him; not a single attribute of God Allah YHWH was in Jesus. Jesus was a man through and through.
Jesus did not create a new Sun, a new Moon or a new Earth, literally.

Did he?

Everything remained the same as done by the Creator- God Allah YHWH since inception.

It is only a superstition of the followers of Paul called “Christians”- a misnomer, as they hardly believe anything Jesus or Mary believed in.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran

“Word become flesh”- a wrong notion of Catholics Protestants if taken literally

somethingcrazy Says:

If you want to see that Jesus created, then just check out the first verses of John’s gospel:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning”

paarsurrey Says:

Hi friend somethingcrazy

I thank you for participating in the discussion.
Please go through the passages quoted by you again. I don’t see Jesus’ name mentioned in them; if I have missed please underline Jesus’ name in them.

I think it is only a guess of the Catholics Protestants that Jesus’ name has been literally mentioned there; maybe it is just another phenomenon, which John, only a human being wrongly took up like that; nevertheless it is not binding on others to subscribe to John’s mistakes or his wrong views or concepts.

I think it is a mistake of our Christian friends to make Jesus a god; like our Hindu friends have made Krishna a god, in my opinion.
But for Paul; Jesus truthful followers would have never taken Jesus to be a god. Matthew, Marks and Luke did not mention that Word has become flesh.

You might have spoken many words in your life. Did you ever see that any of your Word has become flesh? Your Word would have never even smelt like flesh. It is your tongue and lips and your throat made of flesh that help one to make words, and of course the teeth made of bones, which helps to make the words. The reverse phenomenon never happens, in my opinion.

It is just a mistake of John, or those who wrote for John that they thought otherwise, in my opinion.

Jesus never thought like this; how could he had claimed to be god when he knew that he literally created no new Sun, no new Moon and no new Earth. It is only an accusation of Catholics Protestants against Jesus that Jesus claimed to be literally god.

Jesus could have asserted himself for his claims and reasons more clearly and in a straightforward manner. Whom Jesus as a god had to fear about? Jesus needed no self-appointed spokesmen like Paul or Church, in my opinion. Since Jesus was not god so he did not claim it unequivocally.

I love Jesus for his wisdom. Jesus feared nobody except God Allah YHWH whose humble servant Jesus was, in my opinion.

Thanks

Hi friend sch

Now see my friend; how many prophecies of Jesus you have mentioned in your post (which I have described as ocean of words); I have counted them to be 25 in number, if not more. So that makes Jesus a good Prophet Messenger of Creator-God Allah YHWH and that is all.

It proves that Jesus was not a god. Had Jesus been a god; then you would have mentioned things created by Jesus? Jesus did not create anything; everything was as before him.

If you want to prove Jesus to be a creator-god; mention things he created; Jesus did not create anything. Please mention as many things created by Jesus at least 25 of them like Sun, Moon and Earth; not even one of these.

The sign- the biggest one of Jesus, was that of Jonah- the Prophet; not of any god or of the Creator.
I think, now you understand and agree with me.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks

Jesus made good his escape to India

Aaron Says:

Hi again,

I agree with you that Deuteronomy 13 is relevant to the charge for which Jesus was condemned (along with other passages such as Leviticus 24:16).

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend Aaron

I thank you for acknowledging that the Jews tried to punish Jesus for his claim of Prophet-hood or Messenger-ship; and it was not for Jesus claiming any divinity which Jesus had never done in literal terms.
Jesus never claimed any literal divinity (being the Creator- God Allah YHWH) in him and he never showed any signs for that. Jesus did not create any Sun to make two Suns; or he did not create any more Moons to make them two moons or a further additional Earth where people could go and inhibit it ; everything remained the same as far the creation is concerned; there was no visible or invisible change in the Universe. Jesus only claimed being a Messenger or Prophet like so many before him.

Jesus could therefore not claim any deity for himself.
It is Paul who claimed it for Jesus only to be-fool the so called “Christians”. Paul frustrated the claim Jesus had made of a truthful Prophet Messenger. Paul on the face of it promoted Jesus from a Prophet Messenger to a god; and in reality with cunning-ness he deprived him of the both. He made Jesus a false Messenger Prophet by hanging him on the Cross with the purpose of dieing on the Cross; and thus receiving and acknowledging receipt and execution of the punishment prescribed by Moses for a false Prophet Messenger.

Since Jesus did not die on the Cross, after treatment in the tomb where he was laid, of his injuries inflicted on him on the Cross he made good his escape to India; so the basis carved by Paul for Jesus’ divinity never materialized.

Paul succeeded in be-fooling the Catholics Protestants; till such time this infamy put on Jesus by Paul was exposed by Muhammad when he exonerated Jesus of such wrongs by receiving a Word from the Creator-God Allah YHWH.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Thanks
