Discerning a Living Religion from the Dead Religions

June 29, 2013

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
Mirza Ghulam Ahmad

The advent of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was an epoch making event towards the end of the nineteenth century in the history of comparative religions in the present era.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, The Guided One (1835-1908), made it convenient for the human beings be of any race, color or creed to make comparative study of the Revealed Religions of the world and to accept the truth wherever one finds it. He set out many unbiased, neutral and full of wisdom principles for that purpose, the foremost among these is “The claim of a Religion on any topic as well as the logical argumentation should be from its Revealed Book”.

There may be a religion whose followers claim (e.g. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism, Zoroastrianism or any other religion) that their religion or its teachings are for the whole world. ( i.e. it is universal), but the others may demand the followers of that religion to prove if this claim is explicitly mentioned in your Revealed Book and that if that claim has been supported by divine arguments in your Revealed Book.

This could be easily checked by anyone sincerely searching for the truth or guidance. If a religion on any of the important topics or human problems does not contain the relevant claim or argumentation / reasoning then that religion could be pronounced as a Dead Religion for all practical purposes. (One may remember here that all revealed religions in its origin were truthful; this fact has been highlighted by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad many a times and with great emphases).

We are more concerned with the present era – a dynamic scientific era; where we live in. The humanity is facing very complex problems which must be addressed by the Living Religion of the world if there is any utility in the religion worth the name; any denomination. The religion is for the common as also for the highly literate and since it is claimed to be divine, it should satisfy the common man as also the very literate special man.

The followers of a religion might be very clever and cunning that they could advocate for their religion and could attribute claims to a religion which re not explicitly found in its Revealed Book or they could provide arguments in its favor which are only man-made and not provided by the Divine.

In that case such a religion could be pronounced on its merit, at the most, to be a man-made religion, definitely not sent by God. This could be a litmus test. Verify your religion of your choice on these two simple but wise counts; you might be stunned to realize that many a religion are just myths and its followers are following it only blindfolded.

On his own part Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad set out this epoch making principle in an Inter-Religions Conference in the year 1896 and then he proved that the religion of his choice has claim and arguments on the five basic questions facing by humanity:

  • The Physical, Moral, and SpiritualStates of Man.
  • What is the State of Man After Death?
  • The Object of Man’s Life and the Means of its Attainment.
  • The Operation of the Practical Ordinances of the Law in This Life and the Next.
  • Sources of Divine Knowledge.

The conference had given these questions on which the participant speakers had to speak.

I leave the solutions to the respected readers. Try for the Religion of your choice. Best of luck!

Jesus; suffered on Cross for being on truth; yet in minority

May 17, 2009

I’m sorry to say, but the majority of New Testament scholars no matter what their faith is, would disagree with Jesus going to India. In fact, all of them hold Jesus died on the cross as the Gospels state.

Islam seems to be on the opposite side of that fence, and on top of that, your on the opposite side on the Muslim fence. I’d like to see contemporary scholarship on the issue, preferably writings outside of your Muslim sect.

Hi friend brooksrobinson
I can only help you to research. In religion we don’t deal in minority or majority; we try to discern truth from the untruth, even if it is in minority, we have to side with truth and stand on truth.

We have to follow Jesus; from the time Jesus started his ministry in Judea to the time he left for India; Jesus was in minority in Judea, I think it is not difficult to understand by you and the viewers of this blog.

We have to act like Jesus, if he was a role model for us; he suffered on Cross for being on truth, but in minority; he was persecuted but he did not waver.

God Allah YHWH heard his humble supplications done at Gethsemane. God Allah YHWH helped him against all odds and saved his life. We should be thankful to God Allah YHWH that he cured his injuries inflicted on Cross, in the tomb of Joseph Arimathea.

We should also thank the intrepid physician Nicodemus, who brought an unusual quantity of myrrh and aloe, unusual for a Jewish funeral, to prepare the medicines immediately needed to treat his master, Jesus; it is mentioned in the Bible, you could see it in the Bible for yourself.

They, Nicodemus and other trusted friends of Jesus ,prepared ointments named in ancient medical history as Marhum Havariyyeen or Marhum-e-Issa; ointment of the disciples and/ or ointment of Issa/Jesus, for treatment of Jesus.

Jesus was definitely not in majority in Judea, I think you cannot deny it. Of course, when he resided in India peoples high and low, kings and common, accepted Jesus as a Divine Guide or Bagwa Metteyya or Messenger Prophet and he was honored and respected there, so it was in India that he was accepted in majority where he resided.

It is very unfortunate that Jesus’ absence in Judea prompted the cunning Paul and the sinful scribes to derail his teachings and his faith. Jesus never talked in terms of majority and minority; if now people resort to think in these terms; that mean they would have rejected Jesus if they would have been present at that time.

I don’t think any good Christian could afford this proposition.

Jesus supported only truth as mentioned in Quran. If Bible does not mention it; that makes Bible an incredible book written mythically and hence merits being denied/rejected; If not the whole of it, then at least the untrue one should be discarded, but only after proper investigation, which is always welcome in matters of faith /religion.

TheRandomGuy: Existance of Jesus PROPHESIED in HINDU SCRIPTURES 3000 years before his birth

In the Bhavisiya Purana which means “Future Happenings”, the existence of Jesus is prophesied 3000 years before his birth.

By the way, based on scriptures written, it is a proven fact that Jesus has traveled to the east, twice to INDIA (between the missing years not mentioned in the Gospels).

Also; you guys might want to check out the book “Jesus Lived in India” by German author Holger Kersten, a brilliant authoritative book giving evidence of Christ’s life in India.

I don’t want you to accept anything blindly; but if you have an open heart and sound mind open for truth, you may like to get convinced, if not, I don’t mind.

I respect your faith; you are at liberty if you insist to remain on the creeds of you fathers and grandfathers, if you prefer them on the truth.

I love Jesus and Mary as I love Buddha and Krishna.

No need to have a blind faith when you can add beauty to your faith with eyes of research

October 18, 2008

• No need to have a blind faith when you can add beauty to your faith with eyes of research
• An invitation for research for truth: “Bring forth your arguments if you are truthful”
• Please build your faith on solid, reasonable, logical and research based arguments; blind faith is no faith
• nobody among Christians, Hindus and Jews is endowed from GodAllahYHWH, the power to exceed Promised Messiah 1835-1908 in truthful arguments, reasons, logic and rationality
• Second Coming or advent of the Promised Messiah 1835-1908 had stregthened all the revealed religons of the world; He is Divine-Guided

I have been posting here for quite sometimes now. I have never made personal comments against anybody. I respect everybody and everybody’s religion. I sincerely believe and I am convinced with solid reasons that the Divine Guide or Second Coming of Christ has taken place in the metaphoric advent of Promised Messiah 1835-1908.

Promised Messiah 1835-1908 writes with the help of Holy Spirit/Angels and GodAllahYHWH has endowed him with wisdom and have spoken with him many a times. This wisdom is reflected in his writings, of which some you must have tasted through my posts.

Every Christian, Hindu and Jew is welcome to comment writings of the Promised Messiah 1835-1908 peacefully; and such comments will be displayed on my blog; and be a source of comparative study of religions by the searching souls for truth.
I am sure that nobody among Christians, Hindus and Jews is endowed from GodAllahYHWH, the power to exceed Promised Messiah 1835-1908 in truthful arguments, reasons, logic and rationality.

If they try; they will be ashamed of their blind faiths haded over to them by their peers through ages. They would realize that though their faiths were truthful in their origin – when revealed by God; yet their truth content has been diluted with time.
There is no harm if one tries to.

The comments will be free for everybody to see and the common conscience of humanity will be free to see through them and decide after due research as to where the truth lies. Everybody will be free to accept the truth wherever and wherefrom it comes; no compulsion whatsoever.

While commenting or presenting your view-point, please offer both your claim and jist of your arguments from your Revealed Book so that one knows that your book supports you .

Peaceful comments are welcome here; even of those who differ with me.

Thanks

The Grand Prophecy of the Eclipses

June 3, 2008

Hazrat Imam Baqar Muhammad bin Ali (ra) has narrated the following Hadith (saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad saw):

“For our Mahdi (Divine Reformer) there are two signs which have never appeared before since the creation of the heavens and the earth, namely the moon will be eclipsed on the first night in Ramadan (i.e. on the first of the nights on which a lunar eclipse can occur) and the sun will be eclipsed in its middle (i.e. on the middle day of the days on which a solar eclipse can occur), and these signs have not appeared since God created the heavens and the earth.”

(Dare Qutani Vol 1, page 188) or (Sunan Darqutni, kitabul eidain, chapter: salat-ul-kasoof-ul khasoof wa haitahuma)

In the literature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the dates of the lunar and solar eclipses have been taken as 13, 14, 15 and 27, 28, 29 respectively of the Islamic calendar.

Hence considering the dates as 13, 14 and 15 for the lunar eclipse and 27, 28 and 29 the prophecy was fulfilled in 1894, during the life of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad 1835-1908, the truthful claimant of the office of ImamMahdi. The purpose of the prophecy is to help people to recognize the PromisedDivineReformer and the prophecy has served the purpose very well.

Then Almighty God manifested this heavenly Sign in the year 1311 Hijra (1894 C.E) when the lunar and solar eclipses occurred over Qadian (The native place where Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the PromisedMessiah 1835-1908 and ImamMahdi, was born, and hence he was called Qadiani) on the specified dates of Ramadan in fulfillment of the grand prophecy of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

The lunar eclipse occurred after sunset on the 13th of Ramadan (March 21, 1894) and the solar eclipse occurred on Friday, the 28th of Ramadan (April 6, 1894). Apart from the almanacs, there was mention of the eclipses in the Indian newspapers of the time Azad and Civil and Military Gazette.

Would you believe this sign, please?

 Thanks
