“Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”-Jesus said

Paul8bee says:

The act of being crucified on the cross was a demonstration of freedom. How can you control a slave nation, if no one will do as they are told? Punishment was the way to control the slaves. Jesus was out to free the enslaved, those enslaved by sin, and those who were enslaved to law. The enslavement of the mind to disillusionment is also slavery, as real as being forced to work manual labor at the end of a whip

Hi friend paul8bee

I would like to put it in another way; it was more of an act of steadfastness of Jesus on the Truth and or on the right path for which he was selected by God Allah YHWH. Jesus had no political ambitions so in that sense his was not a movement of freedom against the Roman Rule.

Jesus had only claimed a Kingdom of God, a spiritual Kingdom on the realm of self, to free self from sins to prepare for love of God, or to free Jews from rule of Devil Satan on their souls. Jesus was an obedient citizen of the Roman Rule; this is manifest from his statement “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”.

Thus Jesus being a subordinate Messenger Prophet in the row of Moses he was ordained to revive the true teachings and acts of Moses, spirit and message of Torah.

Thus Jesus often cursed the wicked clergy of the then Jews and addressed them often. People started following Jesus, the clergy was alarmed against Jesus, as they new they had now no role to play in the faith of Judaism if people rally around Jesus.

The clergy could not punish Jesus themselves. They instigate the Governor that as claimant of King of Jews Jesus might be planning a rebellion against the Roman rule, so he should punish Jesus as they say or they would report the matter to the Roman Emperor against the governor.

If you are of the view that Jesus demonstrated freedom of self from the devil, then our views are similar.

However, Jesus never selected or opted Cross as a symbol of freedom. Cross was forced on him, yet with the grace of God Allah YHWH, he was saved a cursed death on Cross. He remained stead fast against the teeth of tribulations.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.
