Collection of Quran :Usman did a memorable job

October 1, 2009

Uthman burned the different Qurans in order to standardize them. You forgot about that part.

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend sword_of_truth

Please let me know your denomination/sect/faith/religion while replying.

Usman’s only , but very appreciable, contribution was to publish the Quran and to standardise it. It was the same as was revealed on the heart of Muhammad and which a larg number of his companions had already committed to their memory.

Muhammad had also as an axiliary measure or as a supporting measure, got the revelation of Quran written by appointed scribes, on pieces of cloth, pieces of leather or leaves of the trees, as the verses of the Quran were not and could not be in a sequence. They got revealed as and when an event would happen. Whenever the Angel revealed a portion of a chapter; he guided Muhammad as to where the same were to be put, before or after such and such verse. This was possible in the memory of heart but not otherwise. The paper was also not available in abundance; so the pieces could not be in the book form.

Usman collected all these pieces and arranged them in the sequence of what was already committed to heart and memory by a large number of the companions of Muhammad. The axiliary utility of those pieces of leaves, bones, pieces of cloth, leather etc had reached to it logical and purposeful conclusion so these were not needed anymore and were disposed off appropriately.

Quran is a Revelation with the systems ;that is why it is and was called a book. If it would have not been written altogether, even then it would have been called a book due to this reason and in this sense.

Usman’s contribution was that he published the revelation that was already being recited by everybody from memory; for the convenience of the people in other lands where people had converted to Islam in large numbers and hence there was a demand of it. Usman or anyone else could not and did not change or could not afford to change anything of the Quran.

I think it is reasonable and should be easy to understand for our friends here.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

Hi friend sum

There is nothing in Quran Islam Muhammad about punishing the women who have been ‎assaulted by rape. It is the ignorance of the illiterate and cruel Mullah who holds such beliefs. It ‎has no roots in Quran Islam Muhammad.

All human beings are just like a family; every one of them is to be loved and noone is to be hated.

‎“Catholic America as Secular Model” by Anthony Stephens Arroyo

Paarsurrey says:

I appreciate the stance of the Vatican to make an effort to be reason oriented. Revelation and Reason are ‎very important tools of knowledge for the human beings. To be secular is to be moderate and tolerant to ‎others and to respond to reason, rationality and logical arguments. This may go a long way to interfaith ‎dialogue. “Catholic Secularism” and “positive secularism” is a new terminology for me. ‎Let us see as to how the Atheists Agnostics respond to it.

“God Expects Us to Be Civil to Each Other”‎

“God Expects Us to Be Civil to Each Other”‎

Navin1 says:

I read the Koran and find a god that hates me – idolator, heathen, and infidel that I am. ‎Too bad for the god of the Koran. For I Love the God that is Truth. If the god of the ‎koran can’t love me because I Love Truth, that’s his problem (and intolerance, and ‎unloving nature, and demonic truth denying nature). Expunge that from the koran and ‎you may have the beginnings of a meaningful argument for your so called merciful deity.

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend Navin1

I don’t think there are any hate words in Quran. If you have read the Quran, then quote from it, the text and ‎the context. For the context of Quran, usually five preceding and five following verses should be given to ‎understand the true meaning of a verse. Quran gives rational arguments. If God of Quran mentions the ‎truth, which you believe in, with rational arguments; it should be accepted, in my opinion.‎

I like the above article and would recommend the viewers of this blog to read it. The world would be worse ‎off without a religion morally in my opinion. Atheism has no ground to stand and it is most unnatural and ‎inhuman to believe in Atheism.‎

Digging up the Saudi past: some would rather not

September 3, 2009

There is an interesting article published in the The Star, ‎Toronto. The Saudi stance has been very narrow ‎one.Islam/Quran/Muhammad are open for everybody, based on ‎profound brilliant reasons/arguments. There is no artifact ‎which endagers them; rather it provides an excellent ‎opportunity to win the hearts and minds of the world with ‎its brilliant arguments. It is good to know that the Saudis ‎are revising its conservative policies.‎

Quran mentions of Madain or Madyan of Saleh and also of ‎Thamud; the discoveries support the Quran.‎

Ascertaining true Tuahid, while one already believes in ‎Tauhid

Zina khan says:‎

The problem is that people do not understand TAWHID as much ‎as they boast they do!

They do not know the various degrees of TAWHID which ‎constitutes the UNITY of Allah!

Paarsurrey says:‎

I agree with you that most people do not understand the ‎Tawid correctly. ‎

Jews were always Monotheists, yet they needed a Messenger ‎Prophet of God Allah YHWH to set them right on the right ‎path of Tawid. Without a Messenger Prophet, in whom the ‎true Tawhid is reflected, one can miss the the string of ‎Tauhid. God Allah YHWH sent Jesus (AS) to correct the ‎tauhid of the Jews.‎

Muhammad (SAW) also prophesised about his ummah treading on ‎the path of Jews, like one shoe of the foot is similar to ‎the shoe of the other foot. They have also lost the true ‎Tauhid as did the Jews. Muhammad’s (SAW) umman is to be set ‎on the true path at the end of time by Imam Mahdi or the ‎‎(sympbolic) Second Coming of Jesus (AS).‎

This has taken place in the form of the Promised Messiah ‎‎1835-1908.‎

The Jews, Christians, and Muslims have to accept him to set ‎their Tauhid right.‎

‎“Prophet Muhammad, a Pluralist and initiator of interfaith dialogue”

August 15, 2009 ‎

Hi friend Mike Ghouse

I agree with you.‎

I like your peaceful and co-existence approach with other human beings and other revealed ‎religions. Human beings are not machine made to be exactly like others; every individual ‎has been created by God Allah YHWH specially and with diverse faculties, one should ‎always leave room for it and try to accommodate others’ viewpoints.‎

One can give reasons and arguments for what one believes to be true and could try to ‎convince others but without compulsion. This was truly in essence a character of ‎Muhammad, in my opinion; rather an outstanding one.‎

All human beings are just like a family; every one of them is to be loved and respected ‎and no one should be hated.‎

‎“Is Jesus GOD the GOD in the OLD Testament the GOD of MOSES and the TEN ‎COMMANDMENTS is this JESUS?”

August 15, 2009

Question at Yedda:Is Jesus GOD the GOD in the OLD Testament ‎the GOD of MOSES and the TEN COMMANDMENTS is this JESUS?‎

Paarsurrey Answers:‎

Hi friends

Jesus that cunning Paul and the sinful scribes presented in the New Testament is not the ‎YHWH presented in Old Testament, the God of Moses; God who revealed Ten ‎Commandedments on Moses. Jesus never believed in the god of cunning Paul and the sinful ‎scribes. Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi and he believed in YHWH, the God – the Creator of ‎Universe.‎

I think it will be appropriate here to quote from Mirza Ghulam Ahmad 1835-1908, the ‎Promised Messiah, and the Second Coming, who has illustrated the real and pure Jeus for ‎the mankind:

Apart from this, it was necessary that he (Jesus) should escape death on the cross, for it ‎was stated in the Holy Book that whoever was hanged on the wood was accursed. It is a ‎cruel and an unjust blasphemy to attribute a curse to an eminent person like Jesus, the ‎Messiah, for, according to the agreed view of all who know the language, la’nat, or curse, ‎has reference to the state of one’s heart.‎

A man would be said to be accursed when his heart, having been estranged from God, ‎becomes really dark; when, deprived of divine mercy and of divine love, devoid ‎absolutely of His Knowledge, blinded like the devil, he becomes filled with the poison of ‎unbelief; when there remains not a ray of divine love and knowledge in him; when the ‎bond of loyalty is broken, and between him and God there arises hatred and contempt and ‎spite and hostility, so much so that God and he become mutual enemies; and when God ‎becomes weary of him and he becomes weary of God; in short, when he becomes an heir ‎to all the attributes of the Devil — and that is why the Devil himself is called accursed.3 ‎

It is clear that the significance of the word Mal’un, viz. accursed, is so foul that it can ‎never apply to any righteous person who entertains love of God in his heart. Alas! ‎Christians did not ponder over the significance of a curse when they invented this belief; ‎else, it were impossible for them to have used such a bad word for a righteous man like ‎Jesus. Can we say that Jesus’ heart was ever really estranged from God; that he had ‎denied God, that he hated Him and had become His enemy?

Can we ever think that Jesus had ever felt in his heart that he was estranged from God, ‎that he was an enemy of God, and that he was immersed in the darkness of unbelief and ‎denial? If, then, Jesus had never been in such a state of mind, that his heart was always ‎full of love and the light of Divine Knowledge, is it for you, wise people, to ponder ‎whether we can ever say that, not one, but thousands of curses from God had descended ‎upon the heart of Jesus with all their evil significance? Never. Then, how can we say that ‎he was, God forbid, accursed?

It is a pity that once a man has given utterance to something, when he has taken his stand ‎upon a particular belief, he is not inclined to give up that belief, however much the ‎absurdity thereof be exposed. Desire to attain salvation, if grounded upon true ‎foundations, is a praiseworthy thing, but where is the sense in having a desire for ‎salvation which kills truth and which countenances, regarding a holy prophet arid a ‎perfect man, the belief that he had as it were passed through a state in which he had been ‎estranged from God, and in which, instead of unity of heart and unity of inclination, there ‎had been produced a strangeness and aloofness, enmity and hatred; and, instead of light, ‎darkness had surrounded his heart?

Let it also be noticed that this not only detracts from the prophethood and apostleship of ‎Jesus (on whom be the peace of God) but it is also derogatory to his claim to spiritual ‎eminence, holiness, love, and knowledge of God, to which he has repeatedly given ‎expression in the gospels. Just look through the Bible; therein Jesus clearly claims that he ‎is the Light of the world, that he is the Guide, and that he stands in a relation of great love ‎towards God; that he has been honoured by a clean birth, and that he is the loved Son of ‎God.

How then, in spite of these pure and holy relations, can a curse, with all its significance, ‎be attributed to Jesus? No, never. Therefore, there is no doubt that Jesus was not ‎crucified, i.e., he did not die on the Cross, for his personality did not deserve the ‎underlying consequence of death on the Cross. Not having been crucified, he was spared ‎the impure implications of a curse, and no doubt it also proves that he did not go to ‎heaven, for going to heaven formed part of this whole scheme and was a consequence of ‎the idea of his having been crucified. Therefore, when it is proved that he was neither ‎accursed, nor did he go to hell for three days, nor did he suffer death the other part of the ‎scheme, namely, that he went to heaven, is proved to be wrong.

So Jesus was neither god of Moses or God who revealed Ten Commandements on Moses ‎nor God of the Old Testaments, for sure.

Ali Sina and R_not etc should understand that what they are doing is not right morally, ‎logically and intellectually

R_not says:
The closest group that reflects what Islam is are the atheists, communists.‎

Paarsurrey says:‎

I don’t agree with you.‎

Since you are Catholic and siding with Ali Sina in opposing Islam; so you have found it ‎convenient to say that Islam reflects Atheism or Communism; while there is no reality in ‎it.‎

I am of the opinion that Ali Sina when he left Shia denomination, he might have ‎converted to Atheism in confusion or some other denomination of them likeAgnosticism. ‎Mr. Ali Sina could tell us about it.‎

Ali Sina has nothing against Quran/Islam/Muhammad as I don’t see him mentioning ‎anything from Quran supported by its context; he only mentions of some ignorant ‎schorlars whom Quran rejects as being followers of Quran.‎

Ali Sina and R_not etc should understand that what they are doing is not right morally, ‎logically and intellectually.‎

All human beings are just like a family; every one of them deserves to be loved and not ‎hated.‎
