We understand from Quran/Islam/Muhammad that hell is not eternal; it is like a hospital where they get cured from their sins.

How do you even entertain such a thought in your head?

@ makagutu
It is not my thought; we believe it on the basis of Quran/Islam/Muhammad.
Please read the following Q&A:
Q How long will a person remain in Heaven or Hell?
A Paradise is ever lasting.
Hell is like a hospital where patients are kept for a limited time to be cured of their spiritual ailments. They would be transferred to Heaven after having been cured of their spiritual diseases. Hell is thus for a limited period of time.

“Please read the following questions
1. When did heaven and hell come to be?
2. Why were they necessary?
3. Where are they?”
Answers:
1. The concept of Heaven and the Hell came into exist when the One-True-God willed to create man.
2. The concept of Junnah (or heaven) came into existence to reward those who do good deed; and hell is its opposite pole.
3. These are spiritual concepts (not material) and hence don’t require any place in the Universe.

Doors of heaven are wide open

March 23, 2013

open door

The first chapter of Quran makes doors of heaven open for everybody.

[1:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[1:2] All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,
[1:3] The Gracious, the Merciful,
[1:4] Master of the Day of Judgment.
[1:5] Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.
[1:6] Guide us in the right path —
[1:7] The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.

Paarsurrey‘s understanding:

1. The “Opener” or the “key” chapter introduces to the whole humanity with the one true creator God; who is all loving, gracious and most merciful, without blemish; and who is not a revengeful being with blemish.
2. Heaven is with Him for everybody and He is its Master; he does not have to consult with anybody to give one a favor for which one is entitled or to deprive one from a favor that one does not deserve; it is in His sole discretion to decide with justice; he knows hidden in the hearts of everybody.
3. To enter into heaven one has to pray to Him and to seek His assistance from Him that one could be one like Him; in such attributes that are possible for one to inculcate in one’s self and to acquire them with effort.
4. The easiest way in this regard for one is to follow those perfect persons- men who had been chosen by the one true Creator God from time to time in all parts of the world.
5. Besides the above, the other way is that one does not make ideal such persons who purposely went wrong and were cruel instead of being merciful, kind and loving sincerely.
6. And also not to follow those who went on the wrong path.

So, the doors of heaven are wide open; one need not go to hell.
