“Faith Is Not Stupidity”

“Stupidity is not faith. Superstition is not religion. Asserting that we believe what we have never taken the trouble to inquire whether we believe or no, is not piety, but cant. Persuading ourselves we believe what we dare not investigate, for fear of discovering that we disbelieve, is not orthodoxy, but hypocrisy. Professing that we believe what we see to be contrary to reason, and therefore essentially unbelievable, proves not our regard for religion, but only our indifference to truth. – Alfred Williams Momerie (1848-1900), Congregational minister, professor of logic, metaphysician. ” Unquote

I liked the above quote very much.

A congregational minister with such clear and matter of fact thinking; I applaud him and also you. You have written a wonderful post based on your knowledge and experience.

Thanks and regards.

Buddhists and Christians have only second-hand scriptures from Buddha and Jesus

May 26, 2010

genkaku wrote:

Hi Ahmadi — l think you make an excellent point. To my knowledge, there are no written documents ascribed to Gautama Buddha, any more than there are historical documents attributed to Jesus’ hand … or for all I know, any of the other prized ‘religious’ leaders of this world. Much of what is written, was written by others, sometimes hundreds of years after the man himself lived. Often what is written was based on a strong oral tradition, but that doesn’t change the fact … it’s all second-hand.

Paarsurrey says:

I thank you for appreciating my point; neither Buddhists nor Christian have anything written by their masters from them; all they have a second-hand thing which they think is first hand; how erroneous they are? Aren’t they ?

Jesus neither God nor Son of God or a part of Trinity

May 26, 2010

@jayveezed and trippymonkey

Are you saying you don’t believe Jesus was the son of God and that he never referred to himself as being God?

Paarsurrey wrote:

Jesus never meant that he was Son of God or God literally or physically; he only meant symbolically like it is said man is created in the image of God which only means that man should acquire attributes of God as far as possible; it should be man’s goal.

This is clarified by Jesus himself in many a verses; I just quote from John:

John 10:31-35

31 The Jews then took up stones to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them: Many good works I have shewed you from my Father; for which of these works do you stone me?33 The Jews answered him: For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, maketh thyself God. 34 Jesus answered them: Is it not written in your law: I said you are gods? 35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God was spoken, and the scripture cannot be broken;

The Christians are at fault to make Jesus a part of Trinity or God in literal terms; they should refrain from it.

Quran is authored by the Creator- God Allah YHWH

Could the people reading to him (Muhammad) actually read Aramaic or Greek or did they rely on translated versions?

Paarsurrey wrote:

Hi friend trippymonkey

Muhammad did not know how to read and write;
he or his companions around him did not know Greek or Aramaic; he never studied them nor he had even any translated versions with him; he did not need them; because he did not author Quran.

The Creator- God Allah YHWH who knows everything of the past, present and future, He authored it with all the systems existing in it which are not to be found in other scriptures.

Quran is authored by the Creator- God Allah YHWH and not authored by Muhammad

May 26, 2010

Paarsurrey wrote:

Sir Bernard Quatermass Wrote:

The whole of the Quran rests on the honesty of one man. A man who had had all the books of other religions (judaism, christianity, etc) read to him so knew them.

A suspicious person would say he used his knowledge to create a new religion, pretty much as christianity was created from judaism.

Several decades ago, L Ron Hubbard realised that a sure way to money and power was to create a new religion and he did so (scientology), and gained both. Though he died an ignominious death as a hermit, he still has many followers around the world who wait for his return.

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend Sir Bernard Quatermass

Like the Universe has a system in it, likewise Quran has a system in it. One cannot create the Universe; similarly one cannot create the system Quran has for the ethical, moral and spiritual problems of man; it has claims as well as the reasons in it; impossible for a human to do it. Muhammad could not have authored Quran; it is authored by the Creator- God Allah YHWH.

“Who is the ultimate authority on the Bible?”

May 23, 2010

Hi my friends

The Bible does not have an internal system of mentioning claims and reasons in it; this is a weakness of the Bible; it cannot guide its followers; they say it is inspired by the Spirit; but it has hardly any spirit in it; may be with the time its spirit has become already dead, for sure. In fact, therefore, the Church and its followers have to artificially and continuously resuscitate Bible by injecting claims and reasons into it.

They have not realized but it is another fact that all the lasting and truthful teachings of Bible have been preserved by the Creator- God Allah YHWH with utmost security in Quran inclusive of the necessary claims and reasons; hence the Christians are advised to thankfully make full use of Quran. Quran is the ultimate authority on Bible in this sense.

Jesus was ignorant of the eschatology of the so called present “Christianity”

May 7, 2010

methodus wrote:

I could not tell where Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s commentary ended and where your opinions began. that said, it is clear that he either knows nothing about Christian eschatology or was intentionally lying to his audience.

paarsurrey Says:

Hi friend methodus

It is all from Mirza Ghulam Ahmad 1835-1908- the Promised Messiah- Imam Mahdi – The Second Coming of Jesus. In his first Coming Jesus never knew anything about Christian eschatology as the present “Christianity” was never founded by Jesus but by clever Paul and the Church. Jesus was a Jew and a follower of the teachings of Moses. It is therefore obvious that Jesus was neither aware of the eschatology of the so called “Christians” in his first coming; nor he needs it in the Second Coming. He is guided by the Word of Revelation from the Creator- God Allah YHWH and so he gives guidance to others very truthfully.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

One of the many “Words” is Jesus Christ- the Son of Man/Adam/Mary

April 10, 2010

I received following e-mail from Austin; the topic “The Truth Will Set You Free” could be read by accessing the ablove link. I responded with the following reply:

Hi friend Austin

I sent following post to you; but it did not get published on to your blog.
Please publish it and confirm to me.

Hi friend Austin

I would suggest you to rephrase the above sentence from your post; please
make it to read “One of the many Words is Jesus Christ- the Son of Man”
Would you please do it for me?

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran

P.S. The e-mail also bounced backed to me

Quran mentions Jesus as Word of Allah (G-d):

Verse (3:45)

The analysis above refers to the 45th verse of chapter 3 (sūrat āl ʿim’rān):

Sahih International[And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah].

Quran also mentions the following earlier in the same chapter:

Verse (3:39)

Sahih InternationalSo the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, “Indeed, Allah gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allah and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous.”

It is very clear from the above that:

  1. Both Jesus and John were kalamatu(A)llah or Word of G-d, meaning their good tiding was given before their birth to Mary and Zechariah, respectively. And it is not a small sign. Right?
  2. Jesus is mentioned as Son of Mary, not as “Son of G-d”, obviously as G-d never had a wife named Mary.

Our Christian friends, needs to rectify their wrong creeds they have been given by the Pauline-Christianity. And Jesus never supported Paul, his associates or the Church. Right?

Caliphate of Muhammad is a permanent institution in Quran

What is the basis of Ahmadi Muslims?I guess Muslims need to be stick to the teachings of both Quaran and Prophet Mohammad only. If you follow any new messiah, you are no longer Muslim-perhaps you are only Ahmadi. I know you are a peaceful guy-at least you sound so.Its better to write some useful hubs about your beliefs and teachings so as we can understand what you actually trying to say.And Thank you so much for being to nice in answering me

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend andromida

The basis is well defined in Quran; the caliphate started after Muhammad got terminated very soon; and then slowly and slowly the true teachings of Islam got disappearing. Caliphate of Muhammad is mentioned in Quran as a permanant institution:

[24:55] Say, ‘Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger.’ But if you turn away, then upon him is his burden, and upon you is your burden. And if you obey him, you will be rightly guided. And the messenger is not responsible but for the plain delivery of the Message.
[24:56] Allah has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear: They will worship Me, and they will not associate anything with Me. Then whoso is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious. … p;verse=54

With Mirza Ghulam Ahmad the Caliphate of Muhammad has been revived. He is working under the titles of Messiah and Mahdi; and since Muhammad was for the whole world; and other religions are in a very bad condition; under his banner all the religions of the world are to be revived truthfully and peacefully.

So the basis is very sound and it has roots in all the religions; also the spread of no-religion needed his advent.
