All’s fair in love and proselytizing

“There’s an old saying “all’s fair in love and sales” (its also the title of a fairly recent book about successful selling) – but finding common ground is very definitely a tried and tested sales technique. Is that what it is when it is done in a religious discussion? Is the motivation for presenting “less than completely candid” information about one’s religious beliefs the good of the hearer – or sales? Is it to “snatch a log from the fire” and “gain a brother” – as it were – or is it just to count another convert? And, either way, is it honest? Is it acceptable to be dishonest in presenting our religious beliefs? Is it “love” or merely another proselytizing technique?”

I like the analysis.

It is a pertinent question. What is their love and sales technique friend @siti, please.

Jesus was a Jew? Yes, of course.

Jesus was a firm follower of Moses, was trained as such, and remained as such till he died naturally at the age of about 120 years in a “Peaceful Abode” (not in Baghdad- a clarification for the followers of Bahaullah, please.) with fountains where he got refuge/migrated after the event of Crucifixion in which he survived against all odds, please.

Never-mind, please, though Jesus got Baptized clearly at hands of the John the Baptist and he did not renounce it to become a non-Jew later. So, Jesus was a Jew till he died naturally at the age of about 120 years. He was a man of strong-faith and he never got converted a “Christian” or a “first-Christian” in all his life. I love Jesus and Mary.

We are presently discussing about Bahaullah’s conversion to a “Bahai” or a “first Bahai” in the “pre-Iqan period and or “Iqan-period”. This is the priority here, please.

This is a terminology that Bahaullah invented and seemed to stretch/blow out it too much. But presently we are discussing “Was Bahaullah a Bahai’ “, please?”. If he was a “first Bahai” as our friend @shunyadragon would like us to believe, then we human beings would like that that claim should be from him from Iqan the “Book of Certitude” the core book of Bahaullah.
Sorry, we are much interested in Bahaullah, rather than “Bahaism”, please.

Sorry friend, one’s post does not answer the simple question if Bahaullah was a “Bahai” or not, or its another connotation suggested by our friend @shunyadragon if Bahaullah was a “first Bahai” or not in the Iqan period. If he got converted to it in the pre-Iqan period , then who got him converted from which previous religion Babi-non-Islamic or Shia-Islam, he did not belong to Sunni Islam, for sure. Right, please?
The topic, please.

What did Bahaullah say about himself, please, pertinently in Iqan?
It is a simple question, he must not have forgotten to mention it in Iqan, or his human limitations like forgetfulness restrained him; and he was not a God for sure.

Please elaborate with references. It is interesting. While reading Iqan, the way Shoghí Effendi dealt with the translation of Iqan, and his excessive use of inverted commas and capitalization of the letters of words or decaptilization of them, not providing references of many traditions and also some verses of Quran and the most important of all not providing the Arabic text of the verses of Quran and giving wrong translations at some places etc, suggested that the “guardian” Shoghí Effendí was a Paul to Bahaullah. May be Abdul Baha was also as one has suggested, but I have not yet read anything from him, please.

That is too much, and no Letter or Gospel-Book written by Jesus and he was a trained , intelligent and wise Rabbi of Jews.
It speaks a lot. Paul was a dead enemy of the “Sheep” as well the “Sheppard”, he Himself admitted. He employed the technique of “Love and Sales” and harmed them both in another way, when Jesus migrated or took asylum to a peaceful abode in a land of natural fountains a heaven on Earth and died a natural death at the age of about 120 years, leaving wife/s and children. He survived a cursed death on Cross against all odds and refused to be a god and or son-of-god in physical and material sense. Right, please?

I now understand that Bahaullah had not physical relationship with Bab and became Bab’s follower:
“Bahá’u’lláh first heard of the Báb when he was 27, and received a visitor sent by the Báb, Mullá Husayn, telling him of the Báb and his claims. Bahá’u’lláh became a Bábí and helped to spread the new movement, especially in his native province of Núr, where he became recognized as one of its most influential believers.[11][17]
Bahá’u’lláh – Wikipedia

So, I stand corrected. I am an ordinary peaceful Ahmadiyya Muslim and I have no claim of any scholarship or piety for myself. I decide for myself and research for my own self. I have no hatred for Bahaullah, he had died and his destiny now rests with Allah- the One-True-Only-one G-d. I don’t judge him.

Regards friends!
