Future of Religion – The true scenario

Robert Nielsen says:

“The religions of the world are in serious decline. Each generation is less religious than the last and the grip of the Church is being steadily weakened. Ireland used to be the most religious country in Europe, yet even here religion is being eroded away. The simple fact is that religion’s future is one of decline into insignificance as the older generations die off and young fail to take their place.”

Paarsurrey says:

I don’t agree with you; though in a way you have described the tussle between Paul’s modern “Christianity”- definitely a misnomer, and the Atheism in the West correctly. The above phenomenon in the West does not present a true picture of the truthful religion.

Atheism will demolish Paul’s Christianity which was a myth carved out of the thin air by Paul and does not represent Jesus or his teachings.

The destruction of Christianity does not prove that Atheism has any sound and valid foundation either; it is itself based on simple superstition and hides for refuge under Science; yet science refuses to provide any refuge to Atheism.

There are some intelligent Christians who know that they cannot defend Christianity under the situation and hence in response they expose the superstitious foundation of Atheism; and believe me that they are equally good at it.

So Christianity and Atheism will nullify each other in the interim strife period.

Well this post is written from what I know best, namely Christianity in Ireland. Hence the blog is undoubtedly Eurocentric and not quite applicable to Islam. I believe that Islam too will decline, but this process is decades behind the decline of Christianity in the West.

“it is itself based on simple superstition and hides for refuge under Science;”
This sentence makes absolutely no sense. What superstition? What do mean by hide behind science? Atheism is based on scientifically proven facts.

“Atheism is based on scientifically proven facts.”

      Please quote from science.

      • Robert Nielsen Says:

Please quote from science? That doesn’t make the slightest bit of sense.

For simplicity I’ll only mention evolution, the big bang and the theories of life, climate and planet formation etc. which are far more accurate description of the history of Earth than anything contained in any Holy Book, Christian, Muslim or other.

      • paarsurrey Says:

Quran is not a text book of science; so your reference to Muslim book Quran is wrong.
I am a Muslim; and I believe in Evolution in general terms and it is not against my religious belief.
No messenger prophet of the one true God opposed science; they discussed ethical, moral and spiritual aspects of human life and guided them in these aspects and left science aside to progress as per the then norms of the times. I think they were reasonable in their approach.

What has Evolution to do with Atheism? Did evolution start because of the Atheists? What is their role in evolution?
Do you mean; if there had been no Atheism; there would have been no evolution?
Atheism is an ideology or a negative ideology; just started off on superstition, in my opinion.

  2. paarsurrey Says:

Science is not a product or function of Atheism; it is a common tool of humanity for development of physical and material needs.

Theism or Atheism; science is a joint product.

Religion is not a subject of science; so science does not deal in it.
The Atheists behave as if they have invented science which is not true.

The Atheists have no evidences or proofs of their own to validate Atheism; so they present science as if science and atheism or synonyms which is erroneous.

    • Robert Nielsen Says:

“Religion is not a subject of science; so science does not deal in it.”
Actually science does contradict religious versions of the creation of Earth for example as well as most other stories. Religion is full of stories which are not scientifically possible.

“The Atheists behave as if they have invented science which is not true.”
No we don’t. However, our belief system is the only one compatible with science.

“The Atheists have no evidences or proofs of their own to validate Atheism;”
Atheism is not a belief but rather an absence of one. As there is no scientific evidence for God and religious stories are contradicted by scientific knowledge, science disproves religion.

      • paarsurrey Says:

“Actually science does contradict religious versions of the creation of Earth for example as well as most other stories. Religion is full of stories which are not scientifically possible.”

Let religion and science work in cohesion; we don’t think that Atheism is a valid spokesperson of science; so their quoting science does not validate their own superstitious position.

They the Atheists should come out with their own evidences they lack; instead of hiding behind science; science does not provide any shelter to the superstitions of the Atheists, in my opinion.

      • paarsurrey Says:

        “science disproves religion”

It is as wrong as to hold that ‘science disproves atheism’, to which an atheist won’t agree; as there is no valid and factual relationship between science and atheism; science is based on temporal facts while atheism is based on baseless superstition;they don’t have any established relationship.
