Mirza Bashir Ahmad, an able son of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad- the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi has written a good note on the above topic, I want that the viewers enjoy it reading:

 Mirza Bashir Ahmad said:

“Similarly we find that as one gets older, the voice of human nature becomes clearer. This also happens because thousands of veils of darkness beset a man in his youth. There is an abundance of worldly occupations and the intensity of youthful emotions often exceeds the limits of modesty. But as one gets older, consuming passions cool down and one experiences relief from worldly affairs.

Under these conditions, human nature once again finds an opportunity to bring its voice to our ears. Remember! Most atheists are young, and their views are transformed as they grow older. There are many atheists who become convinced of the existence of God in old age. The voice of nature reaches them and forces them to stop denying His existence. Although there may be exceptions, this is the general pattern that comes before us.

If someone is still confronted in his old age with circumstances that keep his human nature subdued, then he is likely to remain an atheist even in that age. But as the tendency to stray is often found only among the youth, it is they who mostly fall prey to atheism.

Someone could argue that this change in belief in old age has nothing to do with human nature, it is rather the fear of death that inclines one to God.

But this argument too goes in our favour and not against us. The fact is that the fear of death is also a voice of human nature. Otherwise, why should an atheist be afraid of death? To one who believes that life started by accident, death should not mean anything.

What started by accident would end by accident and there should be nothing of which one should be afraid! Actually the fear of death is a result of an internal change in man and this is what we call the voice of nature. When, due to old age or some other extraordinary circumstance, the veils of ignorance and darkness are removed from one’s mind and human nature again takes hold of our heart, we are irresistibly drawn towards God.

The Promised Messiah (as) says:

‘But for the countless veils covering people’s eyes; Your Countenance should indeed be the goal of every believer and nonbeliever.’

Human nature is, therefore, a strong proof of the existence of God, and it is a great favour of the Almighty that, for our guidance, He has sown the seed of faith in our nature.”

One Response to “Human nature is a strong proof of the existence of God”

  1. Hank Kimball Says:

First this is very nice indeed. Thank you for sharing that with me.
The FOLLOWING is to the AGNOSTIC AND ATHEIST.

This world of ours has made more material progress in the last century than in all the millenniums which went before. Almost everyone knows the reason. Students of ancient history tell us that the intellect of men in those days was equal to the best of today. Yet in ancient times, material progress was painfully slow. The spirit of modern scientific inquiry, research and invention was almost unknown. In the realm of the material, men’s minds were fettered by superstition, tradition, and all sort of fixed ideas. Some of the contemporaries of Columbus thought a round earth preposterous. Others came near putting Galileo to death for his astronomical heresies. Even in the present century, American newspapers were afraid to print an account of the Wright brothers’ first successful flight at Kittyhawk. Had not all efforts at flight failed before? Did not Professor Langley’s flying machine go to the bottom of the Potomac River? Was it not true that the best mathematical minds had proved man could never fly?

Only thirty years later the conquest of the air was almost an old story and airplane travel was in full swing.

Is not our age characterized by the ease with which we discard old ideas for new, by the complete readiness with which we throw away the theory or gadget which does not work for something new which does?
Now a complete liberation of the mind, concerning material nature has taken place.

NOW, are not many just as biased and unreasonable about the realm of the spirit as were the ancients about the realm of the material?

It is being constantly revealed, as mankind studies the material world, that outward appearances are not inward reality at all. To illustrate: The prosaic steel girder is a mass of electrons whirling around each other at incredible speed. These tiny bodies are governed by precise laws, and these laws hold true throughout the material world, Science tells us so. There is no reason to doubt it. When, however, the perfectly logical assumption is suggested that underneath the material world and life as we see it, there is an All Powerful, Guiding, Creative Intelligence, right there a perverse streak comes to the surface and many laboriously set out to convince THEMSELVES it isn’t so. They read wordy books and indulge in windy arguments, thinking they believe this universe needs no God to explain it. Were there contentions true, it would follow that life originated out of nothing, means nothing, and proceeds nowhere.

Instead of regarding themselves as intelligent agents, spearheads of God’s ever advancing Creation, the agnostics and atheists chose to believe that our human intelligence was the last word, the alpha and the omega, the beginning and end of all. Rather vain isn’t it?

The atheist and agnostic may not consider themselves worshipers. People don’t readily see themselves as worshipers. How many of us have worshiped people, sentiments or things? . On a more intimate level, how many of us have felt such great love and devotion for that special someone? Looking up at the stars on a clear moonless night, do you get a feeling of awe, that is fleeting and soon gone ? Trying to grasp the meaning of it all. Then, never being able to see living as over, or finished for ourselves. To live forever is in our minds. The thoughts of ‘what then, created all this’, fleeting and soon gone.

What do all these feelings or thoughts have to do with pure logic? They don’t. But, there they are. They are just a sure as you and I are. The truth is, the spirit realm doesn’t emit from any THING; it is within us to comprehend; only a desire for it manifests it. Like the feeling we have for a friend, in, that it is not mathematically provable or tangible; but there it is just the same. You’d argue it’s true and lose with the logic you prove God isn’t.

Nobody is born knowing the truth about existence. Our bible says that it is Satan that rules the world. It also states that more people will prove false to God than not. How could anyone have known what is so clear to us today, 2000-3600 years ago? Isaiah 40:22; “There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth, ” That was written more than 2500 years ago. Who could have possibly known what the earth looks like from outer space. Only one who has been there, and done that, over 2500 years ago. I have thousands of examples to show one willing enough to investigate the bible. It purpose was to prove to man that God IS, first.
