Why an old revealed scripture must be more reliable or truthful than a new one?

While commenting on one of my latest post titled: “The Bible scribes did character assassination of the messenger prophets to attract more people”; our friend Hank Kimball gives his opinion.

Interesting. According to who? Based on what? The statement: “Being a perfect man or an innocent man is a pre-requisite of messenger prophet of the one true creator God.” I am sure you have some ancient text that can be verified as making the claim that messenger prophets of the one true God are perfect and innocent.
I do not hold that in order that a man be a servant of God or a prophet of God or a messenger prophet, as you put it, he needs to be perfect. If it isn’t in the bible, AND it COMPLETELY renounces statements the bible makes; the source needs consideration.
If you would be so kind as to please quote the source when making claims that contradict scripture.

I quote a passage from your post:

“The statement: “Being a perfect man or an innocent man is a pre-requisite of messenger prophet of the one true creator God.” I am sure you have some ancient text that can be verified as making the claim that messenger prophets of the one true God are perfect and innocent.”

Why should one hold an ancient scripture more reliable than a new one from the one true God? If it is from the one true God; it must be accepted without putting any conditions.

Vedas are believed to be more ancient scriptures than the OT or NT; do you believe them more reliable than the OT or NT Bibles?

If not; why not?

Please give your arguments.

Also please quote from Moses and Jesus that the ancient scriptures are more reliable than the new ones.

One should note that every scripture that is ancient now was new one at his time.

I think one must have clear criteria for the reliability or truthfulness of a scripture whether it is old one or new one.

One Response to “Why an old revealed scripture must be more reliable or truthful than a new one?”

You absolutely have no clue about the bible do you? The messenger prophets who you claim had their character assassinated are the precise “SCRIBES” that wrote the text. So, that would mean they made themselves look like blasphemous prophets, or what???? Who are you so impressed by that you repeat what they tell you to be true without researching it for your self.
And if I may copy and paste here what you have asked me, so as to not be misunderstood myself: paarsurrey Says:

    Here is paarsurrey’s response:
“Why should one hold an ancient scripture more reliable than a new one from the one true God? If it is from the one true God; it must be accepted without putting any conditions.”

That’s what you respond with? You take the word “ancient” and have a actual issue with my assumption that your claiming a prophet must be perfect came from ancient text? If your source is new and claims to be a prophet than all I could really say is, if that is what you believe than good luck with that.
Your seeking statements Moses and Jesus made about scripture of there day as opposed to scripture of today?
So, you want to use some scripture you claim is scripture, BUT it is scripture of today OR at least within the last 100 yrs. Before you quote it, you want me to quote scripture of Jesus or Moses claiming what is in the new scripture ISN’T VALID solely because it’s NEWER than the bible?? I’ll get right on that……….NOT.
I got to have a sense of humor here. This is how it works, on the bible believer end-. You quote what source you want and I’ll either share scripture that agrees with it or I’ll share scripture that disagrees with it. Nothing is invalid if it is the truth. Spreading truth is GOOD. Spiritual truth, that is. Why would any God fearing man have a problem with someone stating what is truth because it didn’t come from the bible or other scripture.
I’ll disagree with the source you use for the statement you made about prophets needing to be perfect. Because it is in disagreement with the bible, that I believe is the word of God. NOT BECAUSE of when it was written. I never dreamed you’d be quoting a source from recent history. My bad. SO, can we get the source please??
