First Vision: Witout proper introduction, identifications and verifications; Joseph Smith mistook the personages

Markparker1 says:

Where do you get the information you base this belief on?

I know what the Holy Ghost feels like, I know it, the scriptures say that the Holy Ghost is sent directly from the Father, and he testifies of truth, I know there is a connection between the Prophet Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon and Heaven, the Heavens testify to it.

Paarsurrey says:

It is right from the First Vision of Joseph Smith which you posted to me. If Jesus could be tried by the Devil for forty days; Joseph Smith could not be any exception.

Jesus told Jews that they were Sons of the Devil; it is mentioned in John 8.

Witout proper introduction and verifications; Joseph Smith mistook the personages. It is his mistake not mines.
When Moses met God Allah YHWH; He properly introduced himself to Moses; and Moses saw no Son with Him:

[20:9] Allah — there is no God but He. His are the most beautiful names.

[20:10] And has the story of Moses come to thee?

[20:11] When he saw a fire, he said to his family, ‘Tarry ye, I perceive a fire; perhaps I may bring you a brand therefrom or find guidance at the fire.’

[20:12] And when he came to it, he was called by a voice, ‘O Moses,
[20:13] ‘Verily, I am thy Lord. So take off thy shoes; for thou art in the sacred Valley of Tuwa.

[20:14] ‘And I have chosen thee; so hearken to what is revealed.

[20:15] ‘Verily, I am Allah; there is no God beside Me. So serve Me, and observe Prayer for My remembrance.

[20:16] ‘Surely, the Hour is coming; I am going to manifest it, that every soul may be recompensed for its endeavour.

[20:17] ‘So let not him who believes not therein and follows his own evil inclinations, turn thee away therefrom, lest thou perish.

[20:18] ‘And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses?’

One Response to “First Vision: Witout proper introduction, identifications and verifications; Joseph Smith mistook the personages”

  1. markparker1 Says:

In the Christian scriptures that identification requirement you are trying to somehow force, that it must be met, is not met by every Prophet, they are not ignorant as to where their revelation comes from. The Christian scriptures do not give that as a measure; this is the measure Christ gives:
    Matt 7:
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

So although nay-sayers will speak of Joseph Smith as a false prophet, a deciever etc, look at his fruit, the Latter day saints; who strongly believe it is their duty to do the best they can at repenting, forsaking sins and keeping all of God’s commandments, they seek to do good in the world and love their neighbors as themselves.

    The other measure is this:
Deuteronomy 18: 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
    I have already spoken about the prophecy regarding Joseph’s name being had for Good and evil, or spoken of as good or evil, amazingly that came to pass; plus this about the american civil war: found this detailed article;

A noted thing about this Prophecy is that it sounded so absurd when it was given, everyone was of the opinion that the Union was very strong, and most laughed.
