“If you would, please give your criterion for falsifiability of religious texts as either divinely inspired or merely human in origin. However, the criterion cannot be circularly dependent upon the text itself or the author(s).
Your answer will be the beginning of my response.” Unquote

One could be born in any religion or without a religion. It is beyond one to decide where to be born. Wherever one is born; that starts one’s journey to find the truth.

The tools make easy for one to do a job. It is therefore important for one first to find a tool that gives equal opportunity to every religion to search.

Using a tool and then making a comparative study of religions to find which one is the most truthful religion is therefore most reasonable and rational.

I give here a principle of comparative study of religions which was suggested by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad- the Promised Messiah 1835-1908 in an essay that was read in a Conference of Great Religions held at Lahore in 1896; and was later published in a book form titled “The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam” translated in many languages of the world.

I give below the principle and its explanation in precisely his words:

“It is necessary that a claim and the reasons in support of it must be set forth from a revealed book”
“I consider it essential that everyone who follows a book, believing it to be revealed, should base his exposition upon that book and should not so extend the scope of his advocacy of his faith as if he is compiling a new book.

As it is my purpose today to establish the merits of the Holy Quran and to demonstrate its excellence, it is incumbent upon me not to state anything which is not comprehended in the Quran and to set forth everything on the basis of its verses and in accord with their meaning and that which might be inferred from them, so that those attending the Conference should encounter no difficulty in carrying out a comparison between the teachings of different religions.”

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad adhered to this principle and answered the five important questions set by the moderators of the Conference:

1. The physical, moral and spiritual states of man
2. The state of man after death.
3. The object of man’s life and the means to its attainment.
4. The operation of the practical ordinances of the Law in this life and the next.
5. Sources of Divine knowledge.

One could access the following link to read the book available online, freely:

The Atheists/Agnostics/Skeptics don’t have a book to follow. They extol science to find answers to all the questions in the world. Although the questions don’t fall within the scope of science and would overburden it; yet they are open to answer with the condition that they quote some standards text book of science for the claims to answers as also to the reasons given specifying the discipline of science that legitimately deals with it.

Please take your time for your journey of search and as to how the criterion is to be applied. Please read the small book mentioned above; that will provide ready-made solution to many questions that arise.

Wish you good-luck.

Thanks and regards

Hello Paar, I understand your love of Jesus, Mary and Moses. However, about Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster and Cyrus, are you sure you are not violating the Quranic injunction?

Buddha particularly was an agnostic or a Deist who never really discussed about divinity and supernatural in his teaching. Maybe your answer will be that these people were originally prophets but their teachings interpolated over time period. Right?

How about Confucius? Do you love him too?

Humanity is but one family.

Paarsurrey wrote:

Hi friends.

Since Quran is a Word of Revelation from the All-Wise, the Creator- God Allah YHWH; He sent Messenger Prophets to all the lands of the world to guide the humanity to His path. Now that the world has become like a close-net village; all these Messengers Prophets have been honored by Muhammad. The truthful Revelations, deeds/acts of all these Messengers Prophets have been secured in Quran; and their role has been set by God to introduce their nations and lead them to Muhammad – the Seal of Messengers Prophets; Muhammad authenticates their truthfulness, under lasting principles mentioned in Quran.

I love Jesus, Mary, Moses, Moses’ mother, Krishna, Buddha, Lao Tse , Confucius, Socrates, Zoroaster, Cyrus etc great leaders of the world in Ethics, Morals and Spirituality; I love them all; this is the teaching of Quran/Islam/Muhammad as explained by the Promised Messiah 1835-1908. I think it has got a lot of common sense and wisdom; my Atheist and Agnostic friends would admit.

Jesus never had any girlfriends; why should the others have?

Okay, I’ll agree with you. The Quran is the word of God…for sure. I’ll accept that.

Now, what does that mean for me? Can I beat my wife/girlfriend as is God’s word in 4:34? Can I start waging war on the infidels….as is God’s word in 9:29? Am I not supposed to take Christians and Jews as friends? Am I supposed to believe that the Jews are children of Apes and Pigs…..all that good stuff?

How soon can I start a jihad on the kafirs? How soon should I start transforming my great country and implement sharia law, just like Saudi Arabia?

If the Quran is the word of God, then God is a terrible writer.

Paarsurrey wrote:

Hi friend Planck

I thank you for accepting Quran as the word of the Creator- God Allah YHWH. It is indeed very natural to accept that fact.

You don’t have to start now doing anything mentioned by you:

1. You don’t have to beat your wife; Muhammad never did that.
2. You don’t have to wage war on the infidels. That was allowed only for a limited time due to the persecution of Muslims by the infidels. It is no more valid in the present scenario as prophesized by Muhammad himself. The Promised Messiah 1835-1908- Imam Mahdi has abolished such killings and explained the concept of Jihad from Quran.
3. One cannot have any girlfriends to have sex with; Jesus never had any girlfriends, why should the others do such things. One should be sincere with the girls, and if one wants, one could marry anyone of them.
4. You can have surely good Jews and good Christians as your friends; only at the time of war that was prohibited and cautioned. Please read #2 above.
5. Jews and Christians of our times are human beings; must be respected and loved as anyone else. They are not monkeys or pigs; who told you that?
6. You can read Quran and after understanding its logical and reasonable arguments and with your good character; you could convince others for the truth of Quran/Islam/Muhammad; that is the concept of Jihad.
7. There is no Sharia Law named in Quran; that might be the concept of Saudi Arabia, only. Saudi Arabia do not represent Quran/Islam/Muhammad.

Quran is a Word from the Merciful and Beneficent Creator – God Allah YHWH.

I love Jesus and Mary as mentioned in Quran.

‎“I believe in a god of some sort” CCNLI says

September 19, 2009

CCNLI says:

OK, lets say I believe in a god of some sort, some singularity out there hidden from veiw, maybe in a black ‎hole.

Paarsurrey says:

Hi friend CCNLI
One who has a very thin belief in God- the Creator, like you have admitted, such a person would have no ‎belief in the Messengers logically and need not believe in the existence of Angels also, logically. I think ‎you should have admitted that you are an Atheisit Agnostic and have no belief in God.Then it would have ‎been appropriate for you to have concentrated about belief in God in the first place and as to why it is ‎important to believe in God the Creator.

As mentioned in the context of the verse you quoted from the Quran:‎
‎[2:287] Allah burdens not any soul beyond its capacity. It shall have the reward it ‎earns,

So, unless you believe in God and the Messengers; you don’t have to believe in the ‎Angels. No compulsion‎
You may start a new topic on: “What does it mean to believe in God- the Creator?”‎

There are no fairy tales or fiction stories in the Quran. You have simply ‎misunderstood the Quran.

With the advent of Promised Messiah 1835-1908; we Ahmadis are the mainstream ‎Muslims.

Ascertaining true Tuahid, while one already believes in ‎Tauhid

The problem is that people do not understand TAWHID as much ‎as they boast they do!

They do not know the various degrees of TAWHID which ‎constitutes the UNITY of Allah!

Paarsurrey says:‎

I agree with you that most people do not understand the ‎Tawid correctly. ‎

Jews were always Monotheists, yet they needed a Messenger ‎Prophet of God Allah YHWH to set them right on the right ‎path of Tawid. Without a Messenger Prophet, in whom the ‎true Tawhid is reflected, one can miss the the string of ‎Tauhid. God Allah YHWH sent Jesus (AS) to correct the ‎tauhid of the Jews.‎

Muhammad (SAW) also prophesised about his ummah treading on ‎the path of Jews, like one shoe of the foot is similar to ‎the shoe of the other foot. They have also lost the true ‎Tauhid as did the Jews. Muhammad’s (SAW) umman is to be set ‎on the true path at the end of time by Imam Mahdi or the ‎‎(sympbolic) Second Coming of Jesus (AS).‎

This has taken place in the form of the Promised Messiah ‎‎1835-1908.‎

The Jews, Christians, and Muslims have to accept him to set ‎their Tauhid right.‎

Jesus went to Kashmir after the incident of Crucifixion

June 4, 2009

Hi friends

Jesus was delivered from the Cross in a near-dead position.

There were no discples to witness the event.
Matthew 26:56
But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

So, if Matthew is correct, then there was no Christian eyewitness of the event. They forsook and deserted Jesus; and lost all credence whatsoever.

The ultimate truth about Jesus is that he died in Kashmir

The first and primary source on “Jesus was not killed on Cross” – but Jesus later died naturally in Kashmir, in India is the pristine Word of God revealed on the Promised Messiah ,Imam Mahdi 1835-1908.

The Word of God Allah YHWH is and had been the first/authentic and primary source of human knowledge whether revealed on Moses/Buddha/Jesus/Muhammad or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad; it is of itself a complete and without doubt and requires no external witnessing.

The sinful Bible scribes are fake witnesses; without any credence whatsoever, Jesus never needed their witnessing.

I love Jesus and Mary as beautifully described in Quran.

Muslims and Hindus should become limbs of the same body

August 28, 2008

Promised Messiah 1835-1908 Says:

O my Almighty God, my Beloved Guide! Show us the path which leads the righteous and the sincere to Thee. And save us from treading the path which leads to carnal desires, malice, spite and worldly pursuits.

Having done that, I now draw your attention to the following: notwithstanding the hundreds of differences between us, Muslims and Hindus alike share one thing incommon, i.e., we all believe in God, the Creator and Master of the Universe. Also, we belong to the same denomination of God’s species and are referred to as humans. Furthermore, as inhabitants of the same country, we are mutual neighbours.

This requires that we become friends to each other, with purity of heart and sincerity of intentions. We should dispose kindly to each other and be mutually helpful. In the difficulties pertaining to religious and worldly matters, we should exercise such sympathy towards each other as if we have become limbs of the same body.

My countrymen! A religion which does not inculcate universal compassion is no religion at all. Similarly, a human being without the faculty of compassion is no human at all. Our God has never discriminated between one people and another. This is illustrated by the fact that all the potentials and capabilities which have been granted to the Aryans have also been granted to the races inhabiting Arabia, Persia, Syria, China, Japan, Europe and America. The earth created by God provides a common floor for all people alike, and His sun and moon and many stars are a source of radiance and provide many other benefits to all alike. Likewise, all peoples benefit from the elements created by Him, such as air, water, fire and earth, and similarly from other products created by Him like grain, fruit, and healing agents, etc.

These attributes of God teach us the lesson that we, too, should behave magnanimously and kindly towards our fellow human beings and should not be petty of heart and illiberal.

Friends! Take it as certain that if either of our two nations would not treat God’s attributes with respect and will not shape its conduct in accordance with the conduct of God, then, that nation will soon be wiped out from the face of the earth. Not only will it destroy itself but it will also jeopardize the future of its generations to come. The righteous of all ages have testified that following God’s ways works like an elixir for the people. Moreover the survival, both physical and spiritual, of human beings depends on the same eternal truth that man should follow the virtuous attributes of God Who is the Fountainhead of all that is essential for survival.

mythology woven around the person of Jesus

August 1, 2008

For one I want to make it clear that I believe in the person of Jesus, his love with one God, and God’s love with him, his message, his profound love with humanity, his sacrifice for the truth, his humility, his courage, his un-sinfulness – he is one of the outstanding personalities of the world, I really love him and the Christians.

Some learned Christian friends believe that Jesus was a “Mystery”. I would rather say humbly that let not Jesus be a closed book -a mystery, to me he was an open book for the mankind and please let him remain one like that as his greatness is in that. Let him not be a dogma, a myth, a fiction character, let every body see Jesus in reality, and in open broad daylight.

He himself had in fact unfolded this “mystery”; if any, in the likeness of a brilliant sign of Jonah of which he promised and prophesized as his last and greatest sign. I narrate it in the words of Mirza Tahir Ahmad:-

The Sign of Jonah

“We prove from the Bible that God did not abandon him and saved him from the ignoble death upon the cross. This can be studied in the light of the facts relating to the period before the Crucifixion, as well as the facts of the Crucifixion itself and after it, as related by the New Testament.

Long before that incident, Jesus promised that no sign would be shown unto the people other than the sign of Jonah.

Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, ‘Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you.’ He answered, ‘a wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here.’ (Matt 12:38–41)

So before we determine what happened to Jesus, we must understand what happened to Jonah, because Jesus claimed that the same miracle would be repeated. What was the Sign of Jonah? Did he die in the belly of the fish and was he later on revived from death? There is unanimity among all Christian, Jewish and Muslim scholars that Jonah did not die in the belly of the fish. He precariously hung between life and death and was miraculously saved from that situation; while any other person in his place would have died. Yet some subtle laws of nature, under the Divine command, must have conspired together to save him from death. Remember, we are not debating the issue of that being possible or not. We are only pointing out that Jesus, when he pointed out that the like of what happened to Jonah would also happen to him, he could only have meant that what everyone understood to have occurred in the case of Jonah would occur in his case.

No one in the entire world of Judaism, whether in the land of Judea or anywhere else the Jews had dispersed and settled, would have received a different message from this claim of Jesus. They all believed that Jonah, miraculously or otherwise, survived for three days and nights in the belly of the fish and did not die in that period for a single moment. Of course we have our own reservations regarding this view. The story of Jonah as told to us in the Quran does not mention anywhere that it was for three days and nights that Jonah suffered his trials in the belly of the fish. However we return to the case in point and try to bring to light the actual similarities which were predicted by Jesus Christ between Jonah and himself. Those similarities spoke clearly of spending three days and nights in extremely precarious circumstances and a miraculous revival from near death, and not of coming back to life from the dead. The same, Jesus claimed, would happen in his case.”

So Jesus did not die on cross, though he was badly injured became unconscious, went into a coma, yet he survived and was taken to a room like grave, where he was treated by his confidant disciples, when his wounds got healed up he went to spread the gospel among the lost sheep of the Israel (10 tribes of Jews) who had dispersed and settled there, this had also been prophesized by Jesus.

The real beauty of Jesus is in that he was a man who struggled; when one deifies him his position is lessened instead of increasing.

Jesus was s/o of the Virgin Mary, she was neither touched by a man for the birth of Jesus nor did she become a wife of God, though she gave a natural birth to a son. Yes, being a man he was a metaphoric Son of God as per the proverbial usage common in the OT; yet he was never a literal son of God.

One could say it is perhaps due to such mythology woven around the person of Jesus that it has provided ground to one Dore Williamson, in this age of rational enlightenment, science and technology, that he has proclaimed that he/she is Jesus s/o Mary, Jesus’ Return, his 2nd arrival in the latter days. One may contact him on website http://www.dorewilliamson.com .His e-mail address is: dorewilliamson@verizon.net

Those who believe in the first mystery logically may believe in this one also.

Thanks
